Biography

As a young child Kelsey was raised with an awareness and appreciation for nutrition and exercise.  From the earliest days she learned to value exercise as a lifestyle of adventure and excitement as her parents modeled an enthusiasm for staying active and enjoying life.  Kelsey lived out this message of health throughout her life as well and naturally pursued a career in teaching others about wholeness in health.  In 2001 Kelsey graduated from NAU in Flagstaff Arizona with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and chemistry minor. In between graduating and having her first child she worked along side a physical therapist in aquatic therapy treatment for rehabilitation.  In 2003 after having her first child she started “Body by Design” personal training business while teaching a variety of fitness classes at local fitness centers.  In that time Kelsey began pursing focus and specificity in her training methods that most applied her interest in body mechanics and alignment while incorporating mind body health. The perfect fit was becoming a STOTT PILATES certified mat and reformer instructor as well as becoming an RYT (registered yoga teacher), with emphasis in a Christ centered approach.  In 2007 1 CORbody LLC was birthed to provide personalized STOTT PILATES training, Yoga and personal fitness.  Kelsey is certified to teach STOTT PILATES mat and reformer all levels and is trained in Cadillac, chair and barrels.  Kelsey has additional training in Injuries and special populations (ISP) as well as golf conditioning, the pilates edge and a variety of training methods applied to STOTT PILATES mat and reformer repertoire.  Kelsey’s passion is to share with her clients a whole body approach to health that is intentional and purposeful in developing a lifestyle and mindset of whole body health that sustains the tides of time and seasons of life.

As passionate as Kelsey is about sharing this with her clients her first love and passion is being a mother to her 4 beautiful  children and a loving, supportive wife to her amazing husband Preston. Together Kelsey and Preston believe in order to truly teach another, especially your children the message of health it must first be modeled by yourself.  They most enjoy doing this by pursuing an active life of adventure by hiking all over the state, biking as a family, running together as well as just being outdoors fishing, camping and exploring.

As a busy mother of 4 and business owner Kelsey understands the need for renewal and refreshment and for her this comes through a passionate love for God, His word and worshiping Him.  She believes to truly be able to give out you have to be being filled up by something greater and higher than anything this world has to offer.  Kelsey has no greater love for anything in this world than knowing and growing in her relationship with Christ.  This contagious passion for Him is evident through the way she ministers to women while speaking or teaching.  Kelsey wants women to fully understand the depth and beauty of being chosen and called the temple of the holy spirit as 1 Corinthians 6:19 tells us.  She believes that if we fully understood what God is calling us to as His temple to be a living and holy sacrifice set apart for Him as Romans 12 states; then we would wholeheartedly surrender our bodies (mind, body and spirit) to him in worship.  Kelsey believes your life is a living message of what you believe and so for her that means making everything she does honoring to God.  As Kelsey blends her commitment to health with her devotion for God she finds complete harmony and fulfillment of her businesses foundational verse; 1 Corinthians 6:19 which states, “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the holy spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body” (NIV).  As Christ’s ambassadors we are called to a life of consecrated spiritual holiness as well as physical holiness.  This is our purpose, to know, honor and live for Him wholly-physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally.  Through doing this we can enjoy the life of physical and spiritual wholeness that God desires and yearns for his children to have through and in Him alone.
