Redefining Simple

simple |ˈsimpəl|

1 easily understood or done; presenting no difficulty : a simple solution | • plain, basic, or uncomplicated in form, nature, or design; without much decoration or ornamentation.

We all know that this is not how we would define the gift of motherhood and parenting, however in todays world women have bought into to the lie to have more, be more, do more, see more, is what is required to feel fulfilled.  In order to defy the current and tread a new path of “true simplicity” we must have a vision and mission of where we want our families to go.  To have the future in mind helps keep the present in perspective.  While presenting practical tips of parenting toddlers as well as homeschool aged children in helping to create a house of kingdom purpose and perspective we will delve deeper into applying, ” Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.  Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34).

This talk is great for MOPS groups as well as for Mom’s retreats.  It can be suited for an 1 hr event or developed for a weekend retreat.

Living with a Kingdom Purpose

Have you ever assumed particular personalities, roles and family dynamics from the display of a family picture? Has it left you wondering what the family looks like on the inside? We all carry our baggage and pain, but that does not define who we are. A family vision, mission and purpose becomes our legacy and often defines who and what our family stands for. A family mission statement can serve like a cast molding us into a reflection of Christ. What happens if we are not intentional in parenting do our children fall into the mold of the world? Thus we must ask is our cast God’s word or the world?

Kelsey will challenge you to evaluate if your daily choices and priorities are molding your family according to Deuteronomy 30:15 and 6:6. Or are you just a cute bunch of smiling faces today, gone tomorrow?
